DC(Dota Client) is a backround program that spoof checks, registers you to the games, records your win/loss, kills/deny, hks/deaths, and other statistics, it also has a feature that allows you to see enemy/friendly health bars, removing the pester of holding down your alt button.

I'm not offering it as a complete replacement, though it would be nice if everyone would get it so we could host DC along with LC.

If you enforce Dota Client in this league then everyone who plays would be required to download the DotA Client...kind of killing the whole 'Open League'. I personally have used it before, and refuse to use it again. List Checker, with a Screen-Shot Maphack policy is much better.

It's all prefrence, like it was said before, I think they work together. Many people say DC is better than LC if the host has a really good connection. Having DC wouldn't really take away the "Open" in "DotA Open League". All it requires you to do is download the program. It's nice anti-hack, reduces lag, and the HP bars are very useful, you don't know how many times I can mess myself up while holding the alt key down all game.

DC and LC are compatable by the way, you can host LC and use DC, you simply cant implement the DC host latency reduction. The only problem with DC is that its hard for some people to use, not because it is hard in itself to download, but it just doesnt work on their computers. I dont like it personally, but its not a bad program.

Requiring DC won't make this league less open.. an "open" league is one that doesn't have a skill level requirement, ie it's "open" to all.

I really think all leagues should suck it up and admit that DXD got it right, and require DC.

How can ANYONE say no to 100% no MH games?

DxDe however, is even more elitistist than DoL..players who only think they can carry, no talking in game until someone screws up or the carry gets ganked..then he blames on everyone.
